Verify the removed fuse’s voltage, physical dimensions, and fast- or slow-acting marking in addition to the 2 A value. Unplug the fixture before accessing the holder and check the clips for heat damage or looseness. Repeated failure should trigger troubleshooting rather than installation of a larger fuse.
Record the complete removed-fuse specification before the component is discarded.
